Fu-Gee-La is a hip hop song by hip hop group Fugees[artlink], from their 1996 second and final studio album The Score. It was written by [artlink]Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, Samuel Michel, Teena Marie, Allen McGrier and Salaam Remi –who also produced the song.
The track was released as the lead single from the album on December 13, 1995. It peaked highest in Germany at number six (6) and is the highest-selling single from the Fugees, having been certified gold by the RIAA.
There exist several remixes of the song, of which include the Refugee Camp Remix and the Sly & Robbie Remix, which features Akon.
