Ray:- hey! Beautiful (he said as he saw Amanda step into the house)

Amanda stopped him from approaching by raising up her hand. Ben and Darling sensing d tension stood up and left.

Ray:-what’s wrong love? Why are ur eyes swollen? Have u been crying? Amanda stared at him, glanced at d money on d table, then back at him.

Amanda:-Is that what i mean to u? Am i just some object of bet? So everything u said and made me believe were all lies? (she cried)

Ray:-Baby! I can ex—–(she cuts him off)

Amanda:- ofcourse you can explain. Why don’t u feed me with more lies. Go on tell me more lies. God! How stupid i was to have believed u.

(Ray tried to hold her but she slapped his hands off) don’t u dare touch me.

(she said backing away from him) thank u very much for taking me for a fool (she said and ran out of d house, into her car and out of d compound)
Ray came back inside after he tried to stop Amanda but couldn’t. He sat on his previously vacated seat and buried his head on his palm.

As he sat there, he remembered how he and his friends had seen Amanda in a resturant. How Ben had told them how he had tried wooing her and how they had ended up betting on getting her.

He remembered d moments they spent together and how those moments have been shattered bcos of some stupid bet, he cursed himself.

Laura, her friend understood her better and would always give her space when she needed one.
